March 12 Meeting and Speaker

Our March 12 speaker is Maureen O’Leary presenting: “Irish Saints, Myths and Legends”. Maureen is a prominent person in the Irish community across Ontario.

Born in County Leitrim, the eldest of 7 children, Maureen has brought her passion for Irish culture to Canada.  She teaches ceili (Irish folk music and singing, traditional Irish dancing and storytelling) and set dancing in Mississauga, Toronto, and Hamilton.  She also calls dances throughout the province.

Maureen is in charge of Irish summer camps that introduce children to Irish culture. She creates a monthly newsletter covering Irish events throughout southwestern Ontario.

Busy, accomplished and a vibrant contributor to the Irish community, Maureen O’Leary has been named Irish Person of the Year for 2024!  Don’t miss our lucky March Meeting.
