August 8 Meeting Speaker

Our August 8 meeting will feature author Barbara Dickson.  Her first non-fiction book, Bomb Girls: Trading Aprons for Ammo,  was an absorbing record of Canada’s biggest WWII munitions plant, located in Scarborough with over 21,000 employees, predominantly women, working with high explosives during the Second World War. It was followed by Bomb Girls: United for Peace.
