Hugo Straney will be our speaker at our meeting on March 12.
Hugo has been performing and entertaining as a singer, stand-up comic and actor for more than four decades. He has entertained at over 1,000 weddings, banquets, fund raisers and pub nights. He has been the anthem performer for the Toronto Blue Jays, hosted the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and countless festivals including the Cystic Fibrosis Fusion Gala, and the Ireland Funds of Canada Lunch (the largest St. Patrick’s Lunch in the world). He has hosted the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on television and YouTube.
Hugo is widely recognized as the Voice of the Irish Community. His radio show “The Hugo Straney Show” is entering its 39th year on CHIN Radio in Toronto. It airs every Sunday morning from 10:00 to noon.
Hugo regularly offers his time and talents to many charitable causes close to his heart, including Ian Hart Hospice, Cystic Fibrosis, St. Vincent DePaul and many others.
