October 10 Meeting and Speaker

Our October 10 Monthly Meeting features speaker Salwa Qadir with “Functional Fitness for Older Folks”; the talk will also include a few interactive exercises with members.  Salwa is a Level 5 Personal Trainer at GoodLife Fitness and the Personal Training Education Specialist for Goodlife Fitness gyms across Canada.

In the 11 years she has worked as a Personal Trainer, she has acquired multiple certifications in Personal Training, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Nutrition Coaching, Exercise Rehabilitation, Barbell Strength Training and Muscle Hypertrophy.

Salwa is a mom of 2 and most passionate about Women’s Health and Wellness. She has served on GoodLife Fitness Diversity, Equity and Inclusion advisory board and is the chief author of resources provided to Goodlife Fitness’ Personal Trainers on Training while Fasting for Ramadan.

She is also an athlete and Provincial Referee for the Ontario Powerlifting Association and enjoys competing in the sport.

Our meeting begins with updates from our Management Committee, followed by a break with refreshments and socializing.  Then we will enjoy learning about fitness and function with what promises to be an interesting presentation.
